2018 Welcome
Welcome to our ThereAndHome Blog for part time/full timers like us. We are retired and worked for the past few years to get debt-free….including the mortgage on our stick ‘n bricks home. We remodeled, repaired, old-person-safe proofed our home and thought we were ready to sit back and be retired. Whatever that means. But even with all the nice new upgrades and shiny fixes...it is still our same view that we see everyday.
As a creative sort of person, I soon bored of this view (a block wall in our case) and started to get cabin fever. So we thought maybe we should look for a vacation house in Cottonwood, AZ, an hour and a half from where we live in the Northwest Valley of Phoenix, AZ.
Sticker Shock!! It would cost more for this getaway home than it did for our Phx home. Hmmm. But I was still bored of the view. What to do?? Enter our RV!! Now we are not new to the RV lifestyle: tents, pop ups, travel trailers, Class C. We did this with the kids and thought we were done. But boredom can be motivating!! So enter our Apex Nano 19 ft travel trailer!! All shiny and new, ready to hitch up and go.
